For Road to the Show, franchise draft classes and stories
An American player comes out of a college program or high school with a draft round; a Dominican or Venezuelan player signs as an international free agent at 16 to 18; a Japanese player arrives from an NPB club. The card follows those real paths.
Pitchers bat the way they throw, about one hitter in eight is a switch-hitter, and lefties are rarer than righties — the details that make a fake roster believable.
FAQ
How do I make a fake MLB player?
Press "Generate an MLB player". Pick a position or an origin first if you need one; the card fills in bats and throws, size, archetype and his path to the majors.
Are these real MLB players?
No. Every baseball player is invented: a first name, a last name, a hometown and a career path drawn at random from lists of common names and real places. Now and then a pairing matches a real person — that is a coincidence.
Can I share a player I made?
Yes. "Copy link to this player" gives a link that opens the exact same player, with the same name, number and background. "Copy player card" copies the whole card as text.
What is the Wild name style?
Wild builds names from syllables instead of real name lists — the over-the-top kind an all-star game announcer would have to read twice. Great for comedy franchises and joke rosters.
Is the name generator free?
Yes. Unlimited players, no account and no download, on phone or computer.
