For Madden franchises, College Football dynasties and stories

Create-a-player, a custom draft class, a fictional team for a story or a tabletop league — they all need names that sound like football. The generator mixes common American first and last names with the hometowns and colleges the NFL actually recruits from, so the result reads like a real roster line.

Numbers follow the league’s rules by position (quarterbacks 0–19, offensive linemen 50–79), and height and weight stay in the real range for the position, so a fake left tackle never comes out at 190 pounds.

FAQ

How do I make a fake NFL player?

Press "Generate an NFL player". Choose a position first if you need one — quarterback, edge rusher, kicker — and the card fills in a matching number, size, archetype, college and draft slot.

Are these real NFL players?

No. Every football player is invented: a first name, a last name, a hometown and a career path drawn at random from lists of common names and real places. Now and then a pairing matches a real person — that is a coincidence.

Can I share a player I made?

Yes. "Copy link to this player" gives a link that opens the exact same player, with the same name, number and background. "Copy player card" copies the whole card as text.

What is the Wild name style?

Wild builds names from syllables instead of real name lists — the over-the-top kind an all-star game announcer would have to read twice. Great for comedy franchises and joke rosters.

Is the name generator free?

Yes. Unlimited players, no account and no download, on phone or computer.
