How to play Guess the F1 Track
- A new mystery Formula 1 circuit comes out every day at midnight Eastern. You have 6 guesses.
- You start onboard: the map shows only a few corners. Each miss zooms out, first to a wider helicam shot, then to the full lap.
- Type a track, a city, a country or a Grand Prix and pick the circuit. Every guess fills a row of clues: country, distance and direction to the answer, lap length, which way the cars go round, the year of the first Grand Prix and the number of races held.
- Still stuck once the full map is out? Team radio sends one more hint with every miss: who wins there, the Grand Prix it hosts, its first winner.
- Name it from the onboard view for a purple sector, then share your result without spoiling the track.
What the clues mean
- Distance
- The straight-line distance from the track you guessed to the mystery track, and an arrow pointing toward it. North is up on the map too, so the drawing and the arrow agree. Amber means within 500 km.
- Country
- Green for the same country, amber for the same continent.
- Length
- The lap length of the layout Formula 1 last raced there, in kilometres. The arrow points longer or shorter. Amber means within 250 metres.
- Direction
- Clockwise, anti-clockwise, or Suzuka’s figure of eight.
- First GP and GPs
- The year of the first World Championship Grand Prix at the circuit and how many it has held. Amber means within five.

Guess the F1 Track FAQ
- What is Guess the F1 Track?
- A daily Formula 1 circuit quiz. Everyone gets the same mystery track each day and 6 guesses to name it. The map starts zoomed in on a few corners and zooms out with every miss, and each guess shows how far away the answer is and in which direction.
- How do you guess an F1 track from its layout?
- Look for the signature corners: the figure of eight at Suzuka, the hairpin and the harbour chicane at Monaco, the tight castle section at Baku, the Esses up the hill at COTA, the long Kemmel straight at Spa. When the shape is not enough, the distance arrow on your guesses narrows the search, and the lap length and the year of the first Grand Prix separate tracks in the same region.
- Which circuits can come up?
- 37 circuits: the 25 raced in 2026 or back on the calendar in 2027, and 12 classics that Formula 1 has left, including Nürburgring, Hockenheim, Imola, Watkins Glen, Indianapolis and Paul Ricard. Every one of them comes up once before any track repeats.
- What is the longest F1 track?
- Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, at 7.004 km a lap, is the longest track in the game and on the current calendar. The longest circuit Formula 1 ever raced was Pescara, Italy: 25.8 km, used once, in 1957.
- What is the shortest F1 track?
- Circuit de Monaco, at 3.337 km. It is also one of the oldest: the Monaco Grand Prix has been on the calendar since 1950, with 72 races held.
- Which F1 tracks run anti-clockwise?
- In the game: Baku, COTA, Imola, Interlagos, Istanbul Park, Jacarepaguá, Jeddah, Las Vegas, Marina Bay, Miami and Yas Marina. Suzuka is the only figure of eight, so its lap runs both ways. Every other track runs clockwise.
- Which track has held the most Formula 1 races?
- Autodromo Nazionale Monza: 76 World Championship Grands Prix since 1950. The Grands Prix column counts every championship race held at a circuit, whatever the layout was then.
- When does a new track come out?
- At midnight New York time (Eastern Time), every day. The countdown in the header shows how long is left.
- Is it free?
- Yes. No account and no download. Your streak and stats are saved in your browser.
