What is the NHL Immaculate Grid?
The NHL Immaculate Grid is a free daily hockey grid game. You get a 3x3 board where every row and column has a condition — teams, awards, or career stats — and your job is to fill each cell with a player who satisfies both.
It plays like Puckdoku and the original Immaculate Grid, with a twist: every answer gets a rarity score, so picking obscure players who fit beats the obvious superstars. A new hockey grid drops every day, and you can replay any past grid from the archive.
How to play
- Look at the row and column headers — each cell needs a player who matches both (for example, played for the Bruins AND won the Norris Trophy).
- Search any NHL player, past or present, to fill a cell. Each player can only be used once per grid.
- You have 9 guesses for the 9 cells, so every wrong pick costs you a square.
- Rarer correct answers earn a better rarity score — go immaculate by filling all 9 cells, then compare your score on the leaderboard.
